Public & Private Events

Whether you’re planning a get together at home for friends, or a corporate event for clients or staff, beer tastings or pairings can be a fun, educational, and unexpected way to engage with guests at private events of any size. Talk with David about crafting a plug-and-play or customized beer experience for guests at your next event.

Examples of topics for these events can be found here.

These events can be fully customizable, but for descriptions of example topics and events, check out this page.

Great for:

  • Birthday parties and other family-and-friends events
  • Corporate parties and team-building events
  • Community orgs, adult fraternities, clubs, churches, etc.
  • Homebrew clubs

Types of events:

Tastings or pairings

Add some flair to your next party or event by having David lead a private beer tasting or pairing. Choose from a theme or style, or let him curate an eclectic beer list for your party, or even plan a pairing with chocolate, cheese, cookies, etc. David will provide everything needed: you provide the guests! These tastings or pairings can also be tailored for corporate parties, homebrew club gatherings, weddings, or other private events.

Beer education classes

Beer is a drink with rich historical heritage and extensive variety. David can demystify the world of beer for your library adult programming series or other educational program, presenting individual classes or ongoing series that dive into the world of beer and bring it to life for your guests. Limited tastings can be incorporated into these events.

Beer appreciation & history talks

Beer isn’t just a drink. It’s a lens into human history, and a cultural phenomenon that brings together people from different walks of life. Its appeal extends well beyond the walls of breweries and pubs. David has led beer talks at conferences, churches, public libraries, visitors bureaus, and other unique locations, on topics including beer history, national brewing traditions, monastic brewing, beer as an agricultural product, the holistic sensory appreciation of beer, and others.
