Writing

As you’ve probably gathered by now, beer is more than just a drink to me. It’s an experience I travel for, a muse I contemplate, a companion to cold Winter nights and sunny Summer days, brisk Fall afternoons and the first warmth of Spring. My wife and I can set a bottle of something good on the table and talk for hours. Sometimes, those conversations drift back to places we’ve been together—a cozy Belgian cafe overlooking a canal on a rainy day, a farmhouse brewery in the Midwest with rustic wood beams that have seen countless seasons and harvests. When I write about beer, I try to do more than just profile a beer’s flavor and aroma or talk about what to expect when you visit a brewery. I want to tell the stories behind the beer and help you imagine my own experience when I first tried that particular bottle or visited that particular brewery or bar.

If you’re looking for a writer to provide great beer journalism for your publication, or to provide beer descriptions or marketing copy for your beer menu, event, website, or beer labels, get in touch. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and what this project means to you, and work on a plan to make it a reality.

You can find links to examples of my beer writing below. I also write beer reviews on my Instagram.
