When I taste the perfect beer, I’m taken back to the places my wife and I have traveled in pursuit of this passion—a cozy Belgian cafe overlooking a canal on a rainy day, a farmhouse brewery in the Midwest with rustic wood beams that have seen countless seasons and harvests. When I write about beer, I try to do more than just profile a beer’s flavor and aroma or talk about what to expect when you visit a brewery.
